International Emmy winner and multi-award-winning journalist & documentary filmmaker. I am a pioneer in innovative and compelling storytelling. I am deeply committed to illuminating underreported stories and giving a voice to those rarely heard.
Founder of Kobukson Media, I have worked with TVE, TV3, The Associated Press Television News, and Channel 4 News UK, reporting from around the world — from war zones and natural disasters to social unrest and intimate, character-driven stories.
I am the director and filmmaker of Point of No Return, the International Emmy–winning documentary series for 3Cat/TV3, and the director and filmmaker of Fly on the Wall, an award-winning and International Emmy–nominated short documentary series for Al Jazeera Digital English.
As an independent freelance video journalist and filmmaker, I have contributed to The Washington Post, The Intercept, the South China Morning Post, and other international outlets.
My recent long-form work includes covering the 2019 Hong Kong protests as DOP, producer, main cinematographer, and co-editor of Cockroach, directed by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. I am also the director and producer of several documentaries, including the award-winning Pani: Women, Drugs, and Kathmandu.
In addition, I have collaborated with the Global Wildlife Program as a producer and filmmaker, creating stories on wildlife conservation and sustainable development, with a focus on combating illicit wildlife trafficking and human–wildlife conflict.
